Swaja Saransh
Swaja Saransh is a communication specialist and a filmmaker based in Delhi with a background in economics and journalism. They have worked on live-action films as well as animation- producing shorts, documentaries and fiction dealing with education, migration, sanitation and public health, rural livelihoods, energy transitions and climate change. Their films have been nominated and awarded at various national and international film festivals (MIFF 2016; CMS VATAVARAN 2014).
They have been a member of the ESD ExpertNet, a trans-national (India, Germany, Mexico and South Africa) network of experts that enhances the implementation of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) in the network countries.
They have been a Managing Global Governance Fellow(2021) at the German Institute for Development and Sustainability (IDOS), GIZ Education for Sustainable Development Scholar for the year 2012-13 and a BIARI (Brown Institute for Advanced Research Institutes) Scholar for 2016. Currently they are a Media Fellow at the University of Essex(UK) for the year 2024-25.
Abhishek Anupam
Abhishek Anupam is a photographer and cinematographer based in Mumbai. Initial years of his practice were motivated by questions about the medium of photography and in recent years, his research interests have moved towards societal questions of representation and identity, climate change, and sustainable development practices.
He holds an MA in Photography from University for the Creative Arts, UK and his work has been exhibited at Focus Photography Festival, Zandra Rhodes Gallery and Chennai Photo Biennale. His commercial practice includes work produced for Google, Decathlon Sports, Billboard, Hiranandani and Treebo Hotels. He also volunteers his time as a photo editor for Decenter Magazine, an online cultural and political magazine that aims to amplify voices and critiques from the margins.
